Being saved by the Lord is not complicated. Psalm 145:17-21, "The Lord is righteous in all His ways, And kind in all His deeds. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him, He will also hear their cry and will save them. The Lord keeps all who love Him, But the wicked He will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever."
There is much to be said about the gospel message, a.k.a, good news. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. All are lost without Him. If you recognize yourself as wicked you do not have to fear destruction because Christ died for your sins as your substitute. All men sin and fall short of the glory of God so all deserve condemnation. Not only can you be free from eternal punishment but you can begin a new life in Christ whereas sin no longer is your master but Jesus is. You aren't left to be your own savior but Jesus becomes your Savior. You no longer have to fear death because with your new life in Christ comes the promise of you being resurrected someday to spend eternity in heaven.
Will you cry out to the Lord to be saved? Jesus said blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. I like an article put out by the Billy Graham Association that describes what being poor in spirit means. You can read that article by clicking here.
